Spatial Concentration in Relation to Industrial Resilience

The resilience of industry has caught much attention since the outbreak COVID-19 pandemic. Most literature argues that spatial concentration is beneficial to industrial development, but few reports discuss its impact on survival from a long-term perspective, namely resilience. Therefore, this study tries answer whether patterns performance through investigating longevity production sites. We take semiconductor in Hsinchu area, Taiwan as case and hypothesize period sites clustered areas longer than non-clustered areas. After conducting research, it was found not always Our results show only larger clusters those with higher degrees clustering might have advantages toward survival, rather number average-sized clusters. research pioneers field sustainability by bridging studies theories.
